The best time of the year is here.With dropping temperatures and the Christmas fever all around, Pune seems to be ready to welcome Santa with a pomp. The city has Christmas decorations all around and you can see the props and caps sold in every nook and corner of the city! The malls are all decorated with Christmas trees, reindeers and snowman.

MG road Pune camp

MG road in Pune is the perfect place to be in the Christmas season.The all lit up shops,the Christmas decorations,People dressed up beautifully some of them even wearing red Santa hats is a treat to watch! People sing Carol’s on the road .MG road is open till 12 at midnight and has shops in all ranges for all variety of shoppers.

There are many options for food on MG road from the very famous Marz-o-rin for their sandwiches to the Kayani for the cake to the Dorabjees for the gourmet food.A visit to MG road is a must during Christmas and for many this is a yearly ritual.

Enjoy the Christmas cake:

For me one of the major attraction of Christmas is the yummilicious Christmas Plum cake.Prepared by soaking dry fruits in rum,this cake tastes heavenly.There are many bakeries in Pune like the Pasteur Bakery,Marz-o-Rin which is well-known for its Xmas cake Talk about bakeries in Pune and one cannot stop gushing about the Kayani bakery which serves some best cakes in the town.There are many other bakeries like Love Sugar, and Dough,Diamond bakery, Imperial bakery where you can get the awesome plum cakes.Grab one soon and enjoy every bit of it!

Visit the churches:

Pune has some beautiful churches and recently while returning back home,I saw the beautiful St Patrick’s Cathedral.It was looking so beautiful with the colour of the Church changing every few seconds by the lighting effects.There is a mass Carol singing event here where thousands of people gather here.It is something not to be missed. Pune has done really nice churches like the 191-year-old St. Mary’s Church. You can attend the midnight mass which starts at 11 PM and ends at 1:30 AM.


So, I am planning to enjoy my plum cake this Christmas with a walk on the MG road.Phoenix Market City I have reserved for the 31st as I don’t want to miss the #ChristmasTinselTown
