Bruised Passports, Happy Lives

Do you enjoy fairy tales? My favorite line in any fairy tale was “…and they lived happily ever after!” Highly clichéd line, and we all know this absolutely doesn’t work at all in real life. But, what if it does? What if I show you one couple, who against all odds, made it to their “happily ever after”, and are still living it?

Unbelievable, right? Meet our travelistas, Savi and Vid who have traveled to around 90 countries and have their passports bruised with the visa stampings of all these countries. These two had been school friends (childhood sweethearts!!) who found that they share their passion for travelling, and hence decided to spend their entire lives together doing exactly that! Savi holds a PhD and Vid is an engineer. They come from humble backgrounds, but made it to the top by having a lot of persistence and dedication. They used to work in London and they both saved extensively for 10 years to give up their jobs and get into travelling full time!

This couple is a true inspiration for others, who wish to follow their passions in life. They have been invited for quite a few Ted talks. They have been featured on BBC, National Geographic Channel, Times of India, TLC, and a few more.

Let’s have a look at their ever flourishing Insta handle:

Life in an igloo:

Living in igloo is a dream! And living in a heated igloo is something else altogether. Check this out of the world video by Savi and Vid:

Nature’s Miracle- Northern lights

The Northern lights are a miracle which will be enchanting many people for years to come. Check out what these two have to say about it:

Skiing all the way:

And yet another travel video on Lauberhorn Ski festival. Isn’t a weekend at the Alps a dream for most of us?

Simple Pleasures:

It’s not always the big things that we remember. Sometime, it is very important to enjoy the little things in life:

Orchid Land

And have a look at yeh kaha aa Gaye hum …

The best thing about both of them is that they keep sharing knowledge.

Sunset situation over the Adriatic Sea 💕💕 We are currently sharing 10 of our favourite getaways in Europe on @bruisedpassports and today is for an ultra-relaxing getaway to the beaches and seaside towns of the Adriatic Riviera 💛💛 ✨ ✨ Because there is NOTHING quite like a super lazy holiday fuelled with scrumptious food and some of the world’s best wines. The glistening blue waters of the Adriatic Coast lend magic to a number of different countries. Here are 4 of our favourites – choose one based on your preferences and don’t forget to have the time of your LIFE ☺️🤗 ✨ ✨ 1. CROATIA is ideal if you want to go island hopping or you’re a Game of Thrones fan. Spend a day driving from Split to Dubrovnik- the drive is frequently featured in the top ten drives of the world and stay away from the crowds in a little fishing village instead of downtown Dubrovnik, which can get very crowded and very expensive 🙈☺️ 2. If you want to escape the tourist hordes and experience the splendor of the Adriatic Coast, head to MONTENEGRO instead. Choose a beach-facing apartment and spend your days hiking, exploring historical towns, and relishing spectacular sunsets like 👆😊 3. If you love nature and scenic drives, then head to the SLOVENIA. Spend your days sampling fresh seafood in waterfront eateries or sipping on cocktails in the seaside towns of Piran, Portoroz, and Izola. Combine it with day trips to Slovenia’s lakes and castles 4. If you want nothing more than a supremely relaxing getaway, fuelled with good food and wine, then choose ITALY. The Emilia-Romagna region has some glorious beaches and hotels. If you like your wine, try the Sangiovese in the area. As for food, where do I start? You MUST sample the fresh seafood, parmesan cheese, parma ham and balsamic vinegar in places like Modena and Castelfidardo 🍷🧀🧀 ✨ ✨ Just penning this post is making me hungry, so I need to stop 😂 But I hope you’re enjoying this series 💙💙

My island home 💜💜 We are sharing some of our top travel highlights from 2018 over the next week, so you guys can plan some EPIC trips this year and it would be unfair not to include Bali, where we spent a large chunk of last year ☺️😊We aren’t too fond of its beaches (choose neighbouring Thailand or Philippines if you’re a beach bum!) but Bali is ideal if you’re craving a wellness getaway, long sabbatical, or a quick break with friends that offers good value for money 😊 ✨ ✨ Irrespective of whether you are on a budget or in a mood to splurge, whether you’re with your friends, family or your partner, we’ve got you covered. Every single detail you would need to plan your trip is included in our articles on Bali (link is in bio). PS Let us know if you would like a video talking about our favourites and (un)favourites in Bali 💜💜
