What could be possibly the wonderful solution, of a desire of getting out of the regular chore of cooking and satisfying a very hungry family clamouring for food? A brunch, of course!! Brunch is the extremely delightful thing which mixes breakfast and lunch, and saves you cooking for 2 meals. It can help you get some extra sleep on a Sunday, when you need it the most. Combine this with the possibility of least amount of cooking, AND your husband and kids helping you out, you might just attain bliss at this moment! So try our sandwich brunch plan
Sandwich Brunch Plan
For Sandwich brunch, stock up on veggies, bread, butter and cheese, so you don’t have to run out at the last minute to the convenience store.
For the French fries, you can either stock up on potatoes, if you want to make them yourselves, or you could stock up on McCains French fries (my personal favorite).
Meal Plan, or maybe I should say, the Sandwich Brunch Plan:
- Grilled Veg sandwiches (bread, cucumber, tomatoes, boiled potatoes, green chutney, butter, cheese slice)
- Grilled Cheese Sandwiches (bread, butter, cheese slice, and pepper sauce, if you want)
- French Fries
- Mawa Cakes
- Strong Coffee (Hot or cold, depends on the weather)
An extremely healthy menu, and an extremely satisfying one at the same time!! To the palate, as well as to the tummy!
Variations in the plan
You can make as many changes to the veggies and sauces in the sandwich as you want – add sprouts, jalapenos, olives, pickles, gherkins, mayonnaise, mustard sauce. All healthy and tempting choices! Your kids will love you for this one.
I sometimes tend to replace the veg sandwiches with grilled chocolate sandwiches. The nutella spread tastes lovely after the grilling effect. Do try it!
