Movies are a part and parcel of our life. Many of us wait for Friday for the film of our favorite stars to get released to watch them on full screen. Movies inspire us in many ways and also inspire many of us to travel!
Today is the finale of our Bollywood movie segment that inspire travel and we bring you four more movies in this line. These movies set travel goals for so many of us. Let’s see which ones made the final list:
A path breaking movie in Indian cinema! A movie that made its mark in other countries as well. A film that makes you travel in search of Phunsukh Wangdu. From the beautiful lanes of Manali to the beautiful Pangong lake in Leh. While watching the movie, I felt like immediately booking an air ticket and travelling to the beautiful Pangong lake. I wish that was possible! Leh suddenly became the centre of tourist attraction and saw a surge in the tourism! Didn’t you feel like planning the next road trip from Manali to Leh? Shimla’s scandal point also became the talk of the town.
I loved every scene in the movie .As cute as Munni was, so was the place where she stayed… So breathtakingly beautiful! This was actually shot in Kashmir and the mountains, the pine trees and the snow were breathtaking! This movie also showed the other side of Kashmir! Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK), which is equally beautiful as the Indian counterpart. It really made me think that if border was not a barrier, I would definitely have planned the next trip there!
London, Paris, New York
Three important cities in the world covered in a single movie! This movie captures the essence of these beautiful cities. Nikhil and Lalitha, the lead couple of the movie travel to these three major cities as their love story travels places! They meet in London and then in Paris and lastly in New York. Their love blossoms as they are on a sightseeing spree. A treat for eyes and a treat for all the travelers, this movie is must watch for backpacking-geeks like us!
A movie which had sizzling chemistry between the lead pair of Deepika Padukone and Ranbir Kapoor. The movie that took us to the unseen Mediterranean island of Corsica! The lead couple meets in Corsica and explores the beautiful island together. The crystal clear blue waters of the island, the amazing creeks and the dense forest makes Corsica a true heaven on Earth. Wouldn’t you love to plan your next offbeat holiday to this paradise on Earth!
I loved writing this segment completely and also have my own travel list inspired by it. How about you? What are the places you have travelled are inspired by movies. Do share your experiences with us!
